A bit irritated at myself...

Hi Kathy, I'm feeling a lot of the same irritation you are. I've lost about 90 pounds so far, and I'm kicking myself on a daily basis for not exercising. I have great intentions every day.. that I'll work out when I get home from work. But as soon as I sit down to 'unwind' for 20 minutes, I'm done for the night. Several people I talk to about this say I could have lost so much more weight by now had I started working out earlier, not to mention the muscle tone I'd have. I know what I have to do.. I'm waiting to get paid tomorrow so that I can go check out a gym near work and hopefully purchase a membership. That way, I can stop on my way home every day, and not give myself the option to 'unwind' or relax first. I wish you the best of luck in finding the resolve to work out. I agree with Seven that we don't need to have a gym to work out.. but I know just how hard it is to actually DO it. -Jasmina 275/185/150

Jasmina, No one can truly say how much extra you would have lost if any if you had exercised. Don't be hard of yourself. You have done great with 90 lbs gone (I'm down 73 since surgery but lost 32 prior to surgery on my pre-op diet). I agree wholeheartly with you that exercising after arriving home doesn't work for me so it is either work out early in the a.m. or on my way home. Once I'm in "home mode"...that's relaxing or doing chores. Good luck to you! Kathy
