WLS Swim Moment

Hi All, coming out of lurker status to report a funny WLS moment, at least for me. I haven't been swimming in a long, long time. (Bad me, not enough exercise) I used to spend all of my time in the deep lap pool, jogging. I never needed any help keeping my head above water, as I had plenty of fat to aid my bouyancy. In fact, I could just stand upright in the deep water, and my head was completely above the water line. Today I couldn't do it. Now if I'm not actively treading water, my head sinks up to my hair line. I guess that's what happens when you lose 130 pounds!!! Today I had to use a flotation belt to do my deep water jogging. I can live with that. Anything to get more exercise in. Debra M. 351/220/150

Congratulations on sinking. Hmmm, that doesn't seem right! Keep up the good work and be sure to post your daily exercise in the 'Gym is open' post. Several of us are using the daily post as an encouragement to get out there and do something. Seven

Yep, rather have to wear a floatation belt any day rather than the excess weight for bouyancy, huh? ;) Your post made me miss my deep water aerobic class that was closed down during the holidays but has since re-opened ...only without me...need to get myself back in the water. I'd rather be in the water than just about anywhere. It eases body aches and arthritis and is so much fun, it's the 1st excercise I totally LOVE !! Congratulations on your HUGE weight loss gal !!!
