Tingles....
I met my husband Bud 6 years ago. Before him, I was single, independent, did a lot of travelling and thought my life was perfect.
He was a client of mine. After a few business meetings, he asked if I would like to go out sometime. I said yes. Much to both our surprise, the very next day, the company I worked for offered him a position. We would be working directly together. He accepted the position and I told him that I thought I would be uncomfortable about going out with him under the new cir****tances. Well that lasted for about 1-1/2 months and he asked me out again. I was so glad that he did. I decided I did not want to miss out on possibly something real good and regret it later. We dated for 7 months, got engaged, lived together for 2 years, then got married, now on 3-1/2 years.
He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He is funny, smart, ambitious, and always a gentleman. He still opens doors for me, and he has always made me feel special. He has totally supported me through WLS and continues to do so. I can't imagine my life without him in it.
By the way, neither of us work for that company - we both (and 10 others) got laid off in 2002.
Kate, I love your post!
I met my husband in 7th grade. We had a computer class and had to sit in alphabetical order making him diagonal from me. We hardly talked but I thought he was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I couldnt wait until 3rd period to arrive everyday. I was telling my best friend about him one day on the phone and she talked me into calling him. We called every Kennedy in the phone boo****il she got him. She said well Ill ask him to go with you and click back over and tell you what he says. The next thing I know I hear her saying He Said Yes!, He Said Yes! This was 3 days before the school year was over. I was his second girlfriend ever and we have been together ever since.
We got married on Dec 4, 1998- 6 months out of high school. We recently celebrated 7 yrs of marriage. We were both our "firsts" if you know what I mean and that is special to me. He is wonderful to me and I know no man alive would treat me as good or love me as much. We lived with my great grandmother for the first 4 yrs of marriage, we were the only married couple who had an 11 oclock curfew. My grandmother says theres nothing to do past 11 except get into trouble. We finally bought our first home together 3 years ago and had our first child 2 years ago.
The funniest memory I have of us is when my husband got his first car and we went on our first REAL date. We went out to eat at Chilis and it was our first time there and when we went to leave I was following my husband and he went out the fire exit and the alarm went off. We had to walk through the entire restaraunt looking like idiots. We still laugh when we talk about old times.
