Epiphany
Jumped on the scale on Friday (no that's not right), I stepped gently, slowly, bringing air into my lungs to give me buoyancy, onto the scale and low and behold.... 208.9lbs... No, can't be... stepped off... put on my glasses.... Stepped back on... 208.9lbs... Strains of "Halleluiah Chorus" down 104 pounds... Century Club membership.... Over 1/3rd of my former self gone.... 9 pounds to ONEderland.... 25 lbs to "overweight"... and my surgeon's goal...
Reality check... 80+ pounds to MY goal. But you know what?... I can do it... Where ever I end up on this WLS journey, I'm working my ass off (literally). This has been one of the hardest things that I've ever done and one of the most rewarding. Other's can support you, hold your hand, help you make the right choices, but it all comes down to me, myself and I. You have to want this. I know many people that think that WLS is the "Easy way", the "Lazy way". To hell with them... we all know the truth.
May 2006 bring you love, joy and prosperity...

I couldn't have said it better myself Kate! I remember how excited I was when you sent me those beautiful clothes and how happy I was when I was able to pass them on to my good friend Lisa H. who had the surgery at Thanksgiving! She has been able to wear some of them also and just to hear the happiness in her voice reminds me of the fact that we are all in this together and its so great to share the joy!!!
Welcome to the century club Kate! I also feel this is one of the most difficult yet most rewarding things I have ever done! You have made my way easier by sending me all these clothes. I'm sitting in one of your outfits right now as I type this. Thank you so much! I know you are going to achieve your goals!
