Prayers/positive thoughts requested please!
Hey, gang...ladies and Tom (LOL!)
My sister had a needle biopsy on her breast today. She has had calcifications that they noticed a couple of years ago but some are smooth so the doctor has her going for mammograms every 6 months. This time she asked her doctor do a biopsy to make sure all is well and the doc agreed. There was no real thought that this "is" anything but still you wonder. So if you would keep Pam in your thoughts and prayers it would be greatly appreciated. She should find out the results in 24 to 48 hours.
Thanks, folks!
ya! Kathy
Kathy,
I will keep your sister in my thoughts. I had a very rough day today getting my annual mammogram. As you know, I had breast cancer 4 years ago. Each time I have to get a mammogram I feel very apprehensive, as I did today. Today was far from "routine". The radiologist kept having the technician take me in for more films. I went in 3 different times! I started to get emotional as it was such a reminder of the time they found cancer. But, after 2 hours, the radiologist told me he didn't see anything of concern. I think he was unhappy with the technician and the shots she was taking, plus, ever since I was diagnosed they always take extra care in reading my films, which is a good thing. But, I'd forgotten how scary cancer is for me. I'm so relieved!
Lori
Lori,
I had the same experience at my mammogram last month. I have calcifications so I get a comprehensive exam. Anyway, they took pictures 4 times, I think. I was getting very nervous and I don't have your history behind me.
The radiologist came in when all was done and said it was hard to get the full picture because I had lost so much weight. I bet the reason for the reshots for you was the same. They are comparing the pictures and need it all in there.
I'm very relieved for you too! Glad it was a clear report for you!
Hugs, Kathy

Hi Lori, As I read your post my heart went out to you about your ordeal today and the whole mammo thing with the many re-takes being a revisiting of that nightmare from yesteryear. God bless you, I can only imagine your experience. So glad the pic's looked good. Relief is so sweet, huh?
Just wanted to add that your prayers for Kathy's sis are especially precious and powerful...cuz with your personal history...you are so in the intercession with your full heart.
Blessings, Mary
