Incredible Shopping Moment
We went to the Salvation Army store in Rochester Hills today. It was bitter sweet for me.
The bitter: I'm putting my kids in public school on Wednesday. I'm very sad about it, but I haven't been able to do school like I should and I know I won't be able to for a while yet. I've always done what's BEST for them and right now, that's not homeschool. So, we bought them tons of clothes. Got GREAT deals!!! (although I was shocked to see undergarments in a resale shop - GROSS)
The sweet: I bought myself two pairs of jeans - SIZE 6!!!!! I also bought a size 6 pair of capri's and a size 4 pair, but they're a little too tight for now. I bought a button down jean shirt that was a SIZE XS - Can you believe that Xtra Small!!!!!!!!!! Ha!! I look at my preop pics and can't believe I've gone from that to this in 7 short months!!!
Laurie - still waiting to see Dr. Wood and get my surgery date
Cool moment!!!! Size 6...we can share clothes. My sis homeschooled her kids for 5 years and then set them off the public...she was very scared. My other sis and I are public school teachers so we tried our best to reassure things would be okay. Now her kiddos are in high school and she feels like as a parent she did a great job and they are very good kids and know how to make smart decisions. You do what you have to do.
It's good to see you back on the board....versus being in the hospital. You continue to be in my prayers!

Laurie!!!! Size 6 & 4's---AWESOME!!!! I'm just happy to be in an 8. Maybe I will see size 6 before summer?????
As for the kids, I know how hard it can be for us to do things we'd rather not have to do. I am a guidance counselor in a public elementary school. I understand your concerns, but sometimes the school is good too. I will keep you in my prayers!!!!
