For New Year's eve, my husband and I are going out with 4 other couples. We are going to a nice restaurant, they have a lounge there too, for dancing. I am sooo looking forward to it! I will be wearing an unbelievable little black dress that I borrowed from my sister. Please don't think I am conceited, because I am far from it, but when I tried it on, I could not believe how good I looked in this dress! I couldn't believe it was me in the mirror! I was so shocked...stunned...amazed. Then... I was happy, so very very happy that the reflection was really me. This is going to take some getting used to, I definitely have dysmorphia. Happy New Year to everyone! Carol

Carol, I think many of us share your dysmorphia and probably will for quite some time but boy oh boy does it feel good to look in the mirror and think to yourself "Dammm, I look good!" Conceit, naw! Ego, no way! Vanity, never! We all deserve it for all we go through in this process - so enjoy looking at yourself with shock and awe (LOL!) and stand tall and proud of all that you have accomplished! Happy New Year! Kathy
