I've not been around as much. I've not been doing very well through this holiday season. I've been eating a good bit of chocolate. Not as much as I would have before surgery, but way too much for what I should be doing now. Feeling kind of ashamed.
I'm still losing, but very slowly. And I'm getting over a 4-day bout with tonsilitis.
I dropped more weight in the past 3 days, due to not eating, than I have the previous 4 weeks, due to chocolate.
Aw, Tom... blast that chocolate!
I have my moments, too, but for me it's SF chocolate since I dump so easily. The calories are still there, though. Have you tried SF Fudgescicles? They're pretty good and only 45 calories.
Sorry you've been sick. I've never had tonsilitis and I don't want to. Sure not the way you want to lose weight!
Stick around on the boards, no one is perfect, we all know what you're going through. We've missed you!

Hi Becky,
Carol checkin' in. The holidays were good to me and I was good to them. I didn't over do anything, mainly out of fear. Fear of being embarrassed of making myself sick by gorging on my favorite once-a-year foods. So instead, I ignored all those tempations completely. I surprised myself afterwards by thinking of all the things I didn't eat! Quite an accomplishment. Times certainly have changed, for the better.
Take care,
Carol,
Hi Carol!
Good for you for standing strong on the holidays! I did pretty well myself, too, although not without a little angst...
I dump pretty easily so although I really, really wanted some of the goodies, especially the homemade fudge my sister makes, I didn't touch a bit of it. I stuck mostly to protein dense foods like deli meat, cheese, ham and some veggies and a few crackers.
