Your protein intake is great! Everyone really needs to remember that if you want to build muscle...you need to fuel it. I do eat alot of protein a day but if I work out, I increase that to compensate for it. Your calorie intake is excellent given your workouts as well. That is certainly not too much.
We have access to someone who does some exercise classes with the WLS patients at the hospital we went to and he does some metabolic testing. We hope to do that down the road to see how many calories we burn/what our metabolic rates are.
I know that Rich and I both will greatly benefit from working out. Looking forward to visiting the gym tonight. The key for me is getting it into the routine. Once I get into a good routine, I'm golden.
Did I tell you what I asked my father for, for Christmas? A heart rate monitor! I want to get back to running/jogging/lopping along (whatever you call it...LOL!) and thought it would be a great tool for me. My dad got me a Polar monitor with a powder blue watch type unit for my wrist. He also got me the holder for a bicycle. Rich and I got gift certificates for Dick's Sporting Goods for our anniversary and are waiting for the post-holiday sales to go pick out bicycles! We will be fit!
