Are you taking pictures of yourself to track your progress? Jeanie Hudson, TX

I had my husband take pictures of me the night before my surgery and every month afterwards for 6 months. He took 5 pictures at one time in my bathing suit. A full body shot front, back, from both sides and a close up of my face. And now he is on a deployment, so the pictures have stopped. When he gets back, I will be around 1 year post-op, so I will get another set taken then. When I look back on my night before surgery picture and even 3 months out, there is a drastic change. I'm taking pictures every 3 months and measurements every month.

I take pics on the 24th of every month and put them into my "WLS" album. Whenever I feel poorly about my perceived lack of progress, I look through the album for a dose of reality on how far I have come. I think everyone should have an album.

One of my sisters takes my picture every couple of months. It's just unbelievable to look at the one pre-op and think that was really me just 7 months ago. I just had another set taken Christmas Eve. The pictures really are helpful. Cindee 310/223/???
