Merry Christmas Maysters !!! Guess this year we can all say we have taken a LOAD off My question is how is the hair thinning coming along??? Are you seeing significant regrowth? I am struggling with the same huge thin spot, ok, truth... nearly bald spot in the top front I am being a trooper and taking time to style it to it's best advantage and even had the stylist show me some tricks plus some products that help lift and make it look a little fuller, BUT the hair looks sort of brittle and I don't see any new little fuzzies coming in there. Anybody else struggling? any ideas??? Mary

I had a lot of hair loss, but it seemed to be pretty even loss so while my hair is very thin, I don't have any bald spots. The loss has pretty much stopped too, thank goodness! My hair looks very brittle, too. Kind of like straw. I only wa**** every couple of days because during the hair loss stage, I lost a LOT during shampooing, and even then using a spray conditioner to try and smooth it out and keep it from looking so dry. No ideas here, sorry. I do my best to baby my hair, use good conditioner, take Biotin, use spray on, leave in smoothers, etc. I'm hoping that now that my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit I'll get my old hair texture back...

Mary, my hair got real thin, too. I had my haridresser cut it real short and spikey and add bright blonde highlights. It kinda camophlages the thinness. When I started taking more biotin, the loss stopped. I can't tell if it's growing back yet, I think it's still pretty thin. Thank God I have the thin face to wear it so short! Becky Jean

Thankyou to our 2 Becky's ! The only thing I didn't do was try the biotin. I remember reading several posts a ways back, that it really did not help them but I am ready to go buy some. It may be the ticket to sending my body the message that new hair is real NEED I have heard outside of OH that women try the stuff that you rub into the scalp to encourage re-growth. Having a brain freeze and can't think of the name...Oh, Rogaine , I think. somebody once told me yrs ago to get the generic cuz it's not so greasy. Ready to try THAT too. By the way this young fella was offering to help us at Home Depot Sunday and we were shocked that he volunteered help, without us asking, which is always refreshing. Anyway he was only in mid-20's and his hair looked just like mine. A lot of thinning and carefully styled to conceal and what was covering the bald spot was brittle hair just like mine...had to have great compassion on him. Had to wonder if he had the surgery or just was having heredity taking it's toll. Thank God we have the hope of regrowth. Appreciate the feedback. Mary

Dear Mary, I was seriously loosing fistfulls of hair until I added "BIOTIN" to my daily vitamin regiment. Not only has the loss stopped, my hair feels stronger and I am noticing some re-growth. GNC had this on sale last week. You may want to give it a try. Kate Z

Mary, I take GNCs Biotin every day too. It seems to have helped. Lori 384/268.5/170

I take Biotin every day but I am unsure if it helps at all. I lost alot but it was all pretty even so I just look thin up top. I really cant tell if any are starting to grow back yet but I know it isnt coming out in chunks anymore - so that is a good thing.
