Size 12! OMG!
After reading Kathy's post about seeing her father and sister and loving life in her size 12's, I decided to go shopping on my lunch break (plus I'm exactly 7 months out today so happy rebirthday to me). The engineers in my department gave me 70 dollars for Christmas which I used to mainly pay on bills and get the rest of the kiddo's Christmas. However, the last 15 bucks I decided should go to treat myself since everything else is paid up (for now). I haven't bought pants in quite a while and have just been tightening the belt on my size 16-18 jeans (which of course, makes everything gap and wad up causing me to look bigger than I am thus leading to some of that good ol' body dysmorphia).
Well, I first picked up a sixteen and then shook my head and said to myself, "just try the 14". I went to the dressing room and low and behold, they were a little big. I thought to myself, "no way" and immediately went back and picked up a size 12 thinking that there had to be some mistake. I slipped them on and OMG, I'm a size 12 y'all! I haven't been this small since I was in 6th or 7th grade! What a wonderful Christmas present for me!
I'm back at work now and the engineers are laughing their butts off at me. They all have been so supportive of me through this whole process and say that I am the only female they know that would come back to work and announce that I'm a size 12 and I weigh 174lbs! I love these guys to death!

I think that you are a little shorter than me so 140 would probably look great on you. I'm 5ft 8in. According to the BMI chart (which I'm just using as a guide) it says that in order for me to be considered healthy, I have to get to 164lbs or below. Therefore, I think that I've made my mind up that if I can get anywhere in the 150's and stay there, I will be happy.
I honestly think that with some toning, I could lose another 10lbs by myself and then plastics should be able to take another 10 or so off. My belly looks horrible right now ! I could probably wear a size 8 or 10 if I didn't have all this excess skin to tuck into those size 12 jeans. However, plastics will have to wait for now until I get my back surgery done .

Heather, I am so excited for you and know exactly how you feel. My husband and I went to Walmart Thursday and I tried on a pair of JMS jeans in a size 16 and they fit great with a little room, so 14's maybe just around the corner. Anyway, I came out of the dressing room just jumping up and down!!! People prolly think we are nuts!!!!!!
I'm 5ft 7.5in - 5ft 8in (depending on which doctor that I am at).
That's why when you said that you were in size 12's and I know that we both started out the same and are at about the same right now, I had to go see if I too was a size 12.
I've got my size 12's on here at work today and I feel like a million bucks! I told my mom last night that I was tempted to leave the tags hanging off of them so that everyone would know that they were 12's .
I'm 5' 7.5" but you knew that!
Leave the tags on...you nut!
BTW, I have two pairs of size 10 Bandolino Blu brushed jeans (black and brown) - I look so damn tiny in them. I cannot wait for my family to see me in them. I have size 14s on today and they are ROOMY! I also have a size 10 pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans (from my sis too) and I wore them for a bit on Sunday - just a bit tight (my extra skin pooches out over them) but not far away! Wheeeeee...
In tops, the size varies greatly. I'm wearing a size Small today. Never thought I'd wear that size EVER. It is a turtleneck from Kohl's (Croft and Barrow - their brand)...they run very, very big - obviously! In "real clothing", I wear a medium or large depending on the brand.
I have a pretty big frame...size 12 feet which may actually be a size 11 now. I have to go and get measured or to try on some shoes. Perhaps a stop at DSW is in my future...
I lost a whopping 5 lbs this past month. How about you? Definitely slowed down but heck...at this point...I'm only 13 lbs from my own goal so what is 3 months anyway?
Okay, my size-sista...we rock!
Hugs, Kathy
