Very Strange Pain...Please Help!

I work up at 2am this morning with this horrible pain that went from my neck down to my groin and all around my back. I could barely move, let alone breathe. I thought maybe I pulled a muscle or something, so I lied very still and it went away after a few minutes. Then a few minutes later it came back. It's like a radiating pain and its enough to take my breath away. This happened a few more times until it stopped at around 5:30. I've been sick the past few days, with a kidney infection and a cold. I'm off the kidney meds, but have been taking Sudafed for my cold. At first I was worried that I had ate something that disagreed with me, but then I realized that I was taking Sudafed. I'm not going to take anymore and see if the pain stays gone... Anyone have any ideas as to what this might be? Thanks! Becky

Becky, If the pain comes back, please go get it checked out, okay? Go to the ER. I don't know what your pain is but it is always best to get things checked especially if it is scarey and painful enough to take your breath away. Better to be safe, ya know? I don't have any clue what it could be but I know that gallbladder problems can hurt quite severely and radiate into your back. You take good care of yourself! Hugs, Kathy

Becky, Even though you have finished your kidney infection meds, which I presume was antibiotics, it may have not done the trick. Kidney infections can be difficult to treat. Please call your Dr. You may need another course of antibiotics. A kidney infection can easily get out of hand and turn septic. I don't intend to be an alarmist. I just know from personal experience how severe a kidney infection can be and just how fast it can escalate. Please take care and contact your doc! Take Care, Chris 247/154/140ish
