Even thought people have gotten pregnant and had very healthy babys at various points even early post-op, why put extra risk on you and your baby? I know many doctors say 18 months to 2 years post-op...but personally, if I were of age to have a child... I would wait at least til at least my weight stablizes.
Good luck!
Kathy
I am a little over 7 months post-op and I am going to start trying next May, when I am a year post-op. My surgeon already gave me the thumbs up, he said I am doing excellent with my weight loss. But women do get pregnant at various stages of weightloss, so I guess the end decision would be up to you. Good luck!

Hello Michelle My surgeon told me I should wait untill at least one year post op before I got pregnant. I have decided to wait longer since I have more to lose. I say at one year if you are happy with your weight loss go for it. Most people who get pregnant earlier than one year do it by accident or so I have heard. I hope you make the best decision for your self just remember it is harder right now on your body this close out mainley because you are not eating a lot and the fetus will take what it needs first. Have a great christmas. Brenda
