Christmas - I'm hosting this year. I guess it will be fun - at least I have control of the menu! I'm going to try to make a sugar free sweet potatoe pie. Hannukkah - I thought it was over! Kwanzaa - I don't celebrate it. New Years - New Year's Eve church services and Holy Communion. New Year's Day I will probably lay on the couch and watch cheesy Lifetime movies all day and try my best not to graze.

We're stuck here in Virginia Beach this Christmas. Will be the first one we've missed. Both of our families are in Indiana, but due to my husband being in the Navy, we're stationed here. Due to my high risk pregnancy status, not to mention my hernia, my doctors forbid me to travel. We're also moving this weekend, so not sure how much we will have unpacked? Our son will be 7 on Sunday, but is Autistic and doesn't understand the holiday. He loves the colorful wrapping paper, but won't open presents, and actually gets upset if we tear the paper off, so we don't usually wrap his. He loves the lights, however, so we got him a small, maybe 2 ft, fiberoptic tree. No decorations. He just like to watch the lights change. I'm not sure yet if my husband has to work or not. I might make a small turkey or a breast, or something, but that's about it. We'll watch TV, more than likely. Gonna be kinda of a sorry Christmas for us this year. Haven't seen family since Christmas of last year, either. Will be this summer before we're about to go home for a visit.

12/15/05 - My son's Christmas party at school. 12/16/05 - My daughter's Christmas party at school. 12/22/05 - Traveling to Faulkier County to spend Christmas up there with my brother. He is a VA state trooper there and unfortunately, he has to work on Christmas day and this is his first year away from home. How far is that from you Kathy? 12/23/05 - Going to Chucky Cheese near my brother's for my son's 9th birthday. 12/25/05 - Christmas in Faulkier County. 12/31/05 - Hopefully getting the parents to watch my two little ones so that me and the girls can go club hoppin'.
