Update on me

I haven't been here in a while. I'll be honest, I was a little afraid to post. I had my surgery May 2, 2005. In September I found out I was pregnant. I had been on antibiotics due to an ear infection and strep throat, which apparently nixed my birth control. After going thru a miscarriage almost exactly 2 years before, I was scared to death. I still am, in all honestly. I am currently 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I see my OB about every 2 weeks. I am weighing in at about 259 lbs now. I was holding steady at 255 until the past 3 weeks, or so. I've had 4 ultrasounds and the baby appears to be healthy and doing fine. I don't know how this will effect my weight loss in the long run. No, we weren't trying to get pregnant right away, but it happened. We don't regret the baby. The pregnancy has been very hard on me so far. I'm still having some issues with eating certain foods since the surgery, and it has been worse lately with morning sickness. I've been craving pickles and milk something awful! Not at the same time. lol Anyway, for those that remember me posting in the past, I wanted to update. I haven't been updating my profile as much lately, either. Most of my "updates" I have been posting at Epinions.com. http://www.epinions.com/user-lisado About halfway down there is a list of my various bypass and pregnancy updates. I have been meaning to get new updated pictures taken and posted, but haven't had the time. With the new baby coming, we're moving this coming weekend to a 3 bedroom apartment, so my plate has been full. I know that early pregancy is not a good idea after this type of surgery. It was NOT planned. After the infertility we had gone thru, and the miscarriage, we decided that this pregnancy must have been meant to be, to make it past my birth control and everything else. This baby is truly a blessing to us, even if it was unexpected and a lot sooner than we had originally planned.

Thanks, everyone. There has been a downhilll turn to this, however. A hernia, not to mention the back spasms I was already having issues with. Not sure what to do now. I hurt so badly!! There are times I am, still, really kicking myself for having this surgery!
