I'm getting married!!!!! (Long story...)
Let me back up and explain that my honey and I have been together off and on for five years. We were engaged once upon a time, but I got a little panicky 
when we moved in together and well...long story short, we broke up. A big part of it was that back then, I was really struggling to get this surgery, and he was very much against it due to the dangers, etc. I needed to do this...so I did what I felt I needed to do, even though it cost me dearly. 
I've been sad for a long time because of the break up, and I didn't even start dating until recently. About a month & a half ago, I was all set to go out on my first date in 9 months...well...technically nearly five years, because I never could bring myself to see anyone else. 45 minutes before my date was going to pick me up, my honey called out of the blue after nine months of silence! My heart dropped to my stomach...then came the butterflies. I went on the date...and struggled through it, trying to be polite...but my mind was elsewhere. 
I called my honey as soon as I got home, and he came over and we talked and.... 
...we got back together.
Last night, I popped the question...that's right...I did. I figured he'd done it the first time, so it was my turn. He said yes, so I put that ring back on my finger, and I've been on cloud nine 
ever since!!!!!
I'm so happy! 
I leave tomorrow for the West Coast Convention, where I plan to have a rip roarin' good time (thanks to Becky Sue's generosity in giving me a formal dress to wear to the dance)!!!
I'm so happy, I just want to 
all night!

Congratulations. My husband & I dated for two years, broke up for three months, dated other people, got back together, were engaged a month later and married a year after that. Fifteen years and two kids later we are still together. We have our bumps in the road, but we get through them.

Congratulations on the re-engagement!! I am so happy for you. You know it will last because like the saying goes, if you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it was meant to be!
I can't wait to meet you at the convention! I will doing the registration on Friday afternoon so be sure to look for me, ok???
