Update After Endoscopy.

Well they scoped me today. The opening to my intestines is so closed they can't get the balloon in to open me up. Soooo Friday I am going to have lap surgey (hopefully) to open me back up so I can eat. The doc said that the hole was about the size of a hairbrush bristle. Scary thought. Since he has to open me anyway he is going to go ahead and look around and see if he can find the source of my other pain. Should be interesting. Tonight I am tired and sore from throwing up all day. I tried baby food and even it would not go down. Guess I will just wait till they fix it to eat. 3 days to go....

Kat, Sorry to hear you have to have surgery but hopefully the doctors will get all your problems solved at one time. Hugs, Kathy

hi Kat, I am so glad they discovered whats going on!!! so w/surgery you may at last eat and drink again and relax your weary body from throwing up all the time. Which is exhausting I'm sure, on top of being miserable and restricting nutrition and fluids to the max. I am very sure every one of us Mayers is praying for you and rooting for your relief and quick recovery. Rest easy as you can and may you have a wonderfully successful surgery and exploratory Friday. Wow Kat, I am so sorry you are going through this. It has to get better eventually, I had 3 scopes myself and I finally now feel like a "normal" person again. I will keep you in my prayers. We so have to come down and go out with you once you feel better! Love ya! Cary

Hang in there Kat. I had 3 dialation procedures, but luckily they were able to get it opened up. You probably have a hard time keeping water down. I know I did when my opening was only 5 mml. I can't imagine you with your opening being almost completely closed. I look forward to hearing how it all goes. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Good luck Sue McD
