What Did You Eat Today?
I've been having a snacking problem again- trying to nip it.
Last night dinner- 3 shrimp, some salad and a little rice
Last night snack- 4 FOUR damn s/f popsicles! Out of control!
B- protein shake (chocolate carb countdown w/banana cream pie flavored protein my BSN Lean Desserts- my favorite!)
S- Greek yogurt w/ a small banana, some granola
L- probably just some dry roasted edamame, not that hungry. Maybe some cheddar cheese
D- not sure yet. Maybe a stir fry
vitamins- on track
excersize- I'll walk tonight
fluids- only about 20 ounces so far
OMGSH!!!! I've forgotten to eat again today!!! Dang it - that is sooo easy for me to do. Last night my hernia really started acting up, so I didn't have any dinner. Today has been pathetic!!!!
B - sf hot choc. w/ vanilla protein powder - 27 grams
L - cottage cheese & applesauce - 12 grams
I did get in all my morning vitamins, but not my afternoon ones yet.
YIKES - That's all I've eatten and it's almost 4pm!!!!
Guess I've got some eatting to do tonight.
S - Detour Bar 15 grams
D - Tuna 21 grams
S - sf hot choc. w/vanilla protein powder - 27 grams
I'll be over 100 grams of protein, but I'll also be over my alloted carbs by 10 grams or so.
Hey Question - On fitday.com.... my circle shows that a little over 1/2 my calories are coming from protein.... anyone know what it should be???

Pre-Breakfast: Nectar Protein Shake (33 grams)
Breakfast: Deli Honey Ham and Havarti Cheese w/ Dill
Lunch: Turkey and Gravy
Snack: 1 oz almonds and a can of diet 7up (I indulge now and then)
Not sure what I'll have later. I'm short a protein shake since I was at my mammogram.
Dinner may be a piece of salmon and some vegies.

Dontcha LOVE Havarti cheese?? I absolutely love it!
Okay, now that I've taken up room, I suppose I'll list my foods, too.
B: 1 scoop Isopure Dutch Chocolate, 1 frozen banana, a little Lactaid (skim) - about 30 grams/protein
L: About 2 oz of tuna - pouchy wasn't having it and some of it came back up. - so I suspect around 10 grams/protein
S: 3 Cracker cuts swiss and about 8 multi-grain wheat thins and 2 SF chocolate chip cookies - about 15 grams/protein
D: 2 potato and cheddar pierogies, 1 bite Italian sausage (pouchy wasn't having that either), about 1/4 c creamed spinach, about 1/3 of a chicken strip, and about 1/4 c broccoli with cheese sauce. I also had a hunk of some sf fudge that I got the recipe for here somewhere - yummy!
We had what I call my "schmorgashboard" (I know, it's spelled wrong, but that's how I spell it! ) dinner. I usually end up with a little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of the other thing in my freezer so I just pull all of those 'little bits' out and cook them one night for dinner. Tonight it was 2 Italian sausages, a box of pierogies, 2 toaster scrambles, about 4 chicken strips, 2 small fish fillets, a package of frozen spinach, a package of frozen broc/cheese, and a can of corn! And between my family of 4, all but a little bit of the spinach and corn and 1 fish fillet was gone! Great way to clean out the fridge and freezer!
Anyway, I'm right now eating a medium sized Honey Crisp apple with about 1-1/2 tbsp all natural pb and that's probably it for me for the night. Maybe later I'll have some popcorn, we'll see if I get hungry but I doubt it!

AM: dose of protein syrup - 30 grams
breakfast: one-half Atkins protein bar - 10 grams
lunch: 3/4 cup vegetarian chili and 2 tablespoons kale - approx 5 grams protein
snack: one slice 2-percent american cheese and seven saltines (yes, I still indulge in saltines ) - 6 grams
dinner: one-half veggie cheese wrap (one-half low carb wheat tortilla, romaine, cucumber, a bit of shredded parmesan, one ounce of sliced 2-percent cheddar, and a tablespoon of creamy caesar dressing). So yummy, I wish I could eat the whole thing! - estimating about 5 grams of protein.
PM: Another small dose of protein syrup since I didn't get much in through food - 15 grams.
Water - got it all in
Protein - over 70 grams
vitamins and meds - took them all
exercise - 45 minute aerobics class followed by lower body weight training and ab work.
It's Pro Stat 64 liquid protein. A "dose" is two tablespoons and you get 15 grams from that. I double that amount in the morning for 30 grams and at the end of the day if I haven't gotten in enough protein through food, I'll take two tablespoons for 15 grams.
It's thick like cough syrup and it tastes and smells quite bad. But, you gotta what you gotta do to get that protein in!
