Our First Major Holiday!!!!
OMGSH - we're done with our first major holiday (involving an all you can eat buffet of food) Thanksgiving!!!!!! I did very well today. Didn't graze at all. I just ate my meals.
B - sf hot choc. with vanilla protein
Thanksgiving Dinner - Turkey, green bean caserole, two bites of cheesy potatoes, and a very small slice of sf pumpkin pie
S - Detour Bar
D - some more turkey and green bean caserole (no more potatoes or pie)
S - cottage cheese and applesauce
Got in all my vitamins and about 45 oz of water.
All in all, not a bad day!! I saw my brother in law for the first time since surgery... he just kind of stared at me, then said, "you're looking good". hee hee
Hope you all had a good day too.
Laurie
My day went pretty well too, after the minor meltdown I had yesterday morning over a cheesecake I was baking...
B: Low-Carb Yogurt
L: (Thanksgiving Dinner) Turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, a bite of brocolli rice
S: a few raw veggies, a tiny piece of sf cheesecake
D: We broke out the leftovers, I snacked on some turkey and some cheese and a couple of crackers
All in all, we had a lot of fun. Played some poker, made 5 bucks (it's nickle/dime ante poker) and had a good time.
Take all compliments you can get, Laurie! Sometimes a simple statement from someone who wouldn't ordinarily comment on such things means a heck of a lot!
As for me:
B: Protein shake (didn't have time for breakfast too since we were heading out for lunch)
L: Caesar salad. Broiled seafood platter - scallops, shrimp, salmon, a bite or two of a crab cake and some green beans.
S: Protein shake
S2: 1 oz peanuts and a slice of cheddar cheese
D: Cheeseburger w/ sauteed shrooms, carmelized onions, peppered bacon and cheddar
S: Stallone protein pudding with cool whip light.
Kathy
I did well too! First Thanksgiving ever that I didn't pig out. I stuck to protein, water and I did have a about a Tbs each of peach cobbler (without the crust), cherry cobbler, a sliver of pumpkin pie. AND I DIDN'T GRAZE AT ALL! YAY! I didn't gain any weight over the first holiday. Now...to get through Christmas and New Years!
