I Did It!!!

I went to Davids Bridal on Sunday and bought my wedding dress! The best parts...Its a) Strapless b)a Size 16 (!) and c) absolutely gorgeous!! I'll be posting pics on my profile tonight, so I'll let everyone know when they're up. After work today I'm heading to the gym...I have to get toned arms for that strapless dress I never in a million years thought that I would buy a strapless, size 16 wedding dress...WOW! Congrats rebecca!!!! When is your wedding? I am getting married May 20 and I need to buy a wedding dresss... I have been putting it off because I don't know what size I will be then.... I hear wedding gowns run very small... is that your experience? Take care!Hugs, Stef

Stef, Im getting married on July 15th. I went to David's Bridal and had no problems. I thought the same that you did, that the dresses ran small, but they're pretty much dead on for whatever size you are. I was trying on 18's at first, but they were ill-fitting, so they moved me down to 16's. What are you waiting for? Go dress shopping!!! I bet you'll have a blast! Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!! Excellent, Becky! Actually I have a dress I need to eBay. Bought it last summer to get married this fall but ended up getting married last fall. It is beautiful. I think it is a 20 but it runs small. I bought it assuming I'd lose weight though at the time I didn't know I was going to have WLS. Figured I'd lose as Rich lost. That's wasn't happening! I did get a picture of me in the dress when it finally did fit a few months ago. LOL! When is the wedding? You are probably going to have it altered a fair amount if you are many months away. Kathy
