My 6 Months Today!

Today is my 6 month post-op anniversary. The scale which had been a bit stagnant this month with the same weigh-in/number on the dial 3 weeks in a row finally started moving again without me making any changes. Just had to be a bit patient, I guess. I ended up down 6 lbs this month which is far better than the 3/4 that I thought it was going to be. Hey, I'll take it. I'm not greedy. So, my official weigh-in for today is 178 lbs! I'm down 66 lbs since surgery on 5/20/05. (66 lbs in 6 months) Better yet, I'm down 98 lbs since 2/18/05 which was the start of my surgeon prescribed pre-op diet. (98 lbs in 9 months) I'm a mere 2 lbs from the Century Club! Inches wise...I'm down another 7 inches total this month for a grand total of 80.25 inches! All the detail is on my profile. Guess who I ran into yesterday at the mall? My surgeon and his wife. They are a lovely couple. We have a nice chat. He told me he had just seen my MRCP results (MRI on bile ducts) and it was all clear so I still have no answer on my side pain. I did ask about adhesions but I don't think he was convinced. I have an appointment with him Wednesday anyway. That's the report from here! Kathy

Congratulations surgery sister! Your progress and attitude have been so refreshing. You seem like you have so much life and personality. You are amazing! J PS I'll post my six month update tomorrow when I have had a chance to do measurements.
