I was at Wal-mart the other day getting some things and wandered over to the men's section. I am down now to sizes that I can buy off the rack at Wal-mart!! That is unbelievable to me. I have always been a 5X shirt and size 60 pants. No longer!!! To be able to walk into a regular store and buy my clothes out of the men's section, i.e. not the "big and tall" section, was a blessing of great magnitude for me. I may still need the "tall" sometimes (as I'm 6'-2" and long waisted), but I'll never need it for the "big" again!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom, Congratulations! I can so relate. I've always had to go to specialty stores or mostly order from catalogs. I can now buy off the rack in women's sections. It is wonderful (and a whole lot cheaper). Woohoo for all of us who have done well with WLS! Lori

Congratulations, Tom! Rich has been there too. He was wearing up to 6X, I believe at his heaviest. Like you he is tall (6'5") so he does have to get talls. He is still in awe at being able to go into regular stores and picking things up and they fit. Also, he is in awe of having so many choices now. I want to recommend Kohls if you have the store by you, Tom. We've gotten Rich some very nice things there at very reasonable prices but best of all...they carry talls! Their store brand "Croft & Barrow" comes in talls. We got Rich mock turtlenecks, a silk blend turtleneck and some broadcloth button down shirts that look awesome with jeans and Dockers. Isn't it amazing what a little Wal-Mart can do for ya? I too was amazed when I could shop in the "normal" section of wal-mart. Which means I can get decent looking clothes that fit for not that much money. I always despised the women's section.
