JESSICA O

I don't know if anyone saw but Jessica O from Minnesota died this morning at 5am. She had breast cancer and was weak from all the complications of her weight loss surgery. I am very saddend for her and her family. I was hoping and praying for her recovery so she could be there for her son.

I saw that first thing this morning. How very very tragic!!!! She fought HARD after her wls, through all her complications, and then after being diagnosed with breast cancer. May the Lord comfort her little boy and the rest of her family!!!!!

It's all over the main board. She died of breast cancer, but Jessica had a long hard fight with complications after her wls too. It's sooo sad. She was so determined to fight to live for her son!!!

Laurie, I just read Jessica's whole journal of everything she has been through with all the horrible complications of the WLS, then such a devastating breast cancer diagnosis and her attempts at treatment. I can't express how sad I feel. I have been a very healthy WLS patient with no complications. I'm also a breast cancer survivor. The randomness of life makes no sense to me. Lori

Her death hit a lot of people hard. I met her a few times and was very shocked by her passing. I knew she had been having trouble with infections interfering with her chemo, but it sounds like the last couple of weeks were very tough. A benefit concert had been scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It will still go on, but will be a memorial and will raise funds to pay off medical bills and set something up for her 5 year old son. Her obituary will probably be in the paper tomorrow.
