Weekend Plans
What's on tap, Maysters (got it right this time)?
Saturday morning, taking the little one (girlie girl aka Lady the 17.75 year old border collie mix) to the vet. She needs to get her liver enzymes checked again and I need the doctor to look at her left rear leg. Arthritis or something. It doesn't want to work when she first gets up after resting/sleeping for a while. After a while, she runs around like a crazy woman. Cutie pie!
Then I am getting my hair trimmed. Wait til my hair dressers sees my thinned hair and the grays creeping in! Wowzers!
In the afternoon, I'm meeting one of my oldest and dearest friends at the Red Door Salon. We are each getting a message and facial. Once we are properly pampered we'll head out for an early dinner to celebrate our respective birthdays (hers is today and mine is next Friday).
Sunday, Rich and I are going to get photos taken at the studio. Our wedding last November was very casual, small and intimate. Basically got married earlier than planned so I could get on his insurance to get this surgery done. Our families weren't there...just a few friends. It was lovely and relaxed. Anyway, we have pictures that a friend took but heck - we don't look like that anymore. My dad is clamouring for a "wedding" or new photo (to replace the wedding picture of me and my ex....LOL!) and Rich's parent would like one and would like to send some overseas to relatives. We are going to go for the monochrome look. Rich in a mock turtleneck in black and me in a black v-neck sweater. We want to keep the focus on the faces and not what we are wearing. I want it to be something warm, fun, sweet. His arms wrapped around me or something. That fits our personalities and relationship.
After that we'll wander around a bit, have dinner and then we are going to see a play at one of the local community theaters.
Should be a very busy weekend!
What about you?

It sounds like you will be going non stop. My weekend is going to be filled with a lot of fun things also. Today my daughter found out she got accepted to SUNY Brockport, that is the only school she applied to. I kind of figured she would get in, her grade point average in high school is 94. So we are going to there open house on Saturday. Then on Sunday my best friend and I are going shopping and doing open houses. I have all of my Christmas shopping done already so it will be fun to just roam around and maybe buy myself some more things.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Morning, Kathy!
I'm off today - my facility is unionized, so we have a pretty decent holiday schedule. Holden doesn't have school either, so we're going to pal around. Livve has a cold, but is going to the sitter's so me and the little man can have the day together.
We're currently a one car family right now so we're going to take Livvie to the sitters and Aaron to work and then go have breakfast at Clem's. Clem's is this little tiny greasy spoon downtown that is like a local underground legend. Holden loves going there, but typically, they're so crowded (about the size of a train car) we don't bother with it.
We're supposed to go help set up for his Taikwondo school's tournament but they haven't called, so I'm not sure what the deal with that is. We're going to go walk around the mall and window shop and then go see Chicken Little this afternoon at the Cinema Grill.
I'll take him to his dad's this afternoon and then pick up Aaron and Livvie.
Aaron's working all day tomorrow, so tomorrow will be Mommy and Livvie day... Sounds great now, but I know by 4pm I'll be losing my mind...
Sunday will be a restful day, I think. Maybe go find some place to walk around for a while, but that's about it.
Have a great time at the Red Door! I've always wanted to do something like that, but have always been way too self-conscious. It sounds like fun, though!
I'm not a regular spa going but have been a few times. The first was totally and utterly decadent and extravagant. It was my friend and my 40th birthdays so we did a spa day at the Ritz Carlton. Yikes, big buckola but lovely. Did a facial, massage, seaweed wrap, manicure and pedicure. The whole ball of wax.
If I win the lottery, I'm spaing every week.
Have a great day with Holden today. Sounds like a really nice day - greasy spoon and all! Don't we all have favorite places like that?!
And enjoy your time with Livie tomorrow. Remember, it is exercise!!!
Enjoy!
Kathy
My dh's "union" voted to take Monday off to deer hunt rather then today, so he's working tonight. (bummer)
But tomorrow morning the kids are going to Grandma's house and I'm taking him away. We're going to Grand Rapids for a concert, dinner, and a surprise hotel stay (he thinks we're driving home that night)
Sunday will be a leasure day. Probably we'll go to church in Grand Rapids, go out to lunch, and then head home to pick up the kids.
Lookin' Forward to it!!!
