Why am I still fat?
Okay guys I'm growing impatient here. Yes I've lost pounds in 5 months but I thought I'd be at the century mark by now. I mean how can anyone eat as little as I do and still be fat. I gave up bread, pasta, rice.... is like twice a month, and 1 small 1 oz. bag of cheetos a week can't really be doing that much damage. My diet is devoid of fried foods with the ocassional exception. My diet is high in fruits, vegetables and essential protein. I drink tons of water, I chew those god forsaken vitamins and supplements yet I still haven't hit 100. And to top it off, my belly rolls won't go anywhere the bottom one actually seems to be growing like the blob. And to top it off I'm still a size 16. I seemed to be more excited when I hit 18 than 16 for some odd reason.
Lol after typing this I just realised waid 5 months ago I was a 26 hmmmm. In time maybe I'll lose another pound or 2. Thanks for listening.
Morgan,
295/214/ Size 12?
Morgan,
Have been taking pictures and taking measurements this whole time? Look them over. Have you been keeping a journal? Read it again. Did you keep a pair of those size 26 pants? Try them on.
Go back and remember what your life was like 6 months or a year ago. It may be going slow, but it is GONE. I am coming up on my sixth month and I am down 90 pounds. Sure I would have liked to be down 100, but I would definitely not want those 90 back.
Hang in there!

Morgan,
I also battle with the same feelings you have. At 5 months, I'm 86 pounds gone. It's coming off very slowly now, but it's still coming off. Remember, any other diet we've ever followed would only result in a 1 pound loss in a week, so we have done TERRIFIC!
I have 14 pounds to go to reach 100 and I'm working to get that off by Christmas. That will be my gift to myself. As was said in some of the other posts, I'm trying to focus more on what I have lost than how much I still have to go (50 lbs). That sounds like such a large hurdle, so I set myself up with small goals in 5 pound increments. It seems more manageable.
Sometimes I find I want to slip back into old habits and I have to catch myself - am I really hungry or is it brain hunger?
The support groups and our bulletin boards have really helped me to stay (or try to stay) motivated. We need each other.
Keep the faith, we'll get there!
