gastric pouch that is pristine and ulcer free. According to the gastroenterologist, it looks fabulous and he said at that size at this point after surgery that I should continue to lose weight and should be able to keep it off (of course, that means no grazing cuz we all know...grazing can circumvent a small pouch). Anyway, here I thought the ulcer meds were even helping me. Alas, no ulcer. Funny thing is that I had low blood sugar (65) at the time of my test - I was getting sweaty palms (hey, no jokes now) and asked them to check since it had been 7 hours since I had eaten anything. So, I told them no soda or juice after the procedure since I seem to dump - so they gave me saltines and wrangled up some peanut butter. Wouldn't you know it - I've got light dumping symptoms now from that one "pat" of peanut butter (second ingredient listed "sugar"). Argh! And of course 2 saltines with peanut butter have my pain kicked back in. I see my WLS surgeon tomorrow. I am clueless what the problem is. Perhaps a gall stone in the bile duct? I'm tired of this all. My CT scan a week ago showed nothing. Kathy

Kathy, That's a puzzlement for sure. I'm glad you don't have an ulcer, but the mystery is certainly not solved. Best wishes at the surgeon tomorrow, I hope he can find a resolution for you very quickly! Take care, Wanda

Gee Kathy - Guess you're on the straight and narrow path if you dump off of a spoon of peanut butter!!!!! I hope they find out SOON what's going on. I'm sure you're sick and tired of dealing with the pain all the time. Make them keep looking!!!!! Laurie

I'm really glad it's not an ulcer, Kathy. But I feel really bad that they STILL don't know what's going on. What are the next steps? Does your doc have any other ideas?
