2000
Not 2000 lbs...nope didn't start out that big.
Not 2000 ounces...nope haven't lost that much yet.
Not 2000 calories eaten...goodness knows I don't eat that much each day anymore though I'm sure there were days in my past where 2000 calories was a meal. Ouch!
Not 2000 calories burned (but getting warmer)...goodness knows I'd have to do alot to burn that much.
2000 stairs. That's what I did today.
I walk from the 3rd floor to the 7th floor which is 4 floors. There are 20 steps per floor. That is 80 steps per trip up and 80 steps per trip down which is 160 steps for one "lap". I do four at a time for 640 steps. I made 3 journeys...one morning, one early afternoon and one later afternoon which would put me at 1920 but I figured I was so close to 2000 that I walked down to the 1st floor and back up to the 3rd floor to get my extra 80 stairs in to make it an even 2000.
Of course I did more than that...walking down to see Rich when he stopped by and going up a floor to talk to our documentation staff. But I didn't count those.
I could feel the lactose burning off in my leg muscles.
Hopefully the scale will move off where it is stuck one of these days.

I'm not even gonna say it... You know what I'm thinking...
I will tell you, I thought of you today while I was climbing stairs today at school. I went up and down 2 flights 4 times (not at once but over a couple of hours, on purpose though, for the extra steps.)
"Kathy would be so proud of you."
*puff* *groan* *gasp*
"&^% Kathy!"
*groan* *whimper* *whine*
"Kathy climbs more than this in a single morning"
*gasp* *hack* *ouch*
"(%(&^%( Kathy!"
My heart and calves thank you...
Wow, good for you Kathy! That's terrific!
I went on a church retreat this weekend and due to the geographic structure of the area I had to walk directly up 4 flights of stairs several times. Talk about winded! I'm very impressed at your stamina! I know you'll see those scales moving very soon!

Well...at the Youth Shelter last night I had to go do my bedchecks. I think there are about12 steps. I checked on the boys at least 5 times...so thats at least 120 steps for the night. Not to mention I walked at Pizza Hut for six hours straight before the Shelter job last night. Good thing for all that exercise yesterday since I decided to eat like a junkfood alcoholic today!!
