I've been taking a good hard look at what I've been eatting lately. I'm finding myself doing the "I can take a couple of bites" justification. A couple bites of mashed potatoes can't really hurt. A couple of crackers with my cheese shouldn't be too bad. Things like that!!! I'm not going hog wild or even eating enough to consider it a serving, but it's still got to stop. I struggle with getting my protein in every day. I should NOT be eating other things until I get in my protein!!!! I've done well on my weight loss but it's definately slowed down. I want to get it kicked back into gear. So let me hear it. I want your PROTEIN foods. I'm so tired of thinking of things to eat. Help me out here please. Laurie

Laurie, I eat oatmeal almost every morning for breakfast. It's the Quaker Weight Control and worth 7g of protein. I also do a protein shake every morning - Nectar with CL, which is also worth 24g of protein per scoop. Lunch is almost alwasy ham and bean soup or chili - about 1/2 cup. I eat a cheese stick when I get home from work - it keeps me from wanting to snack. Dinner just depends. If we're ripping and running, I eat the inside of a bean or beef burrito, sometimes a couple of slices of ham with low-fat cream cheese, or a frozen SB meal. If we're cooking, it's usually chicken or beef and a tiny bite of rice or something like that. Weekends are a little different. Today, for example, I had a slice of WW toast with 2 tbls of sf pb on it. Not the best choice, I suppose, but it was good! I haven't had my protein shake yet - Saturdays are always hectic, it's when we do most of our housecleaning, etc. I'll probably have a late lunch - maybe some popcorn and a slice of deli meat.... Who knows for dinner. I found that with our schedules, we rarely have time to plan and cook a family meal. It's more likely to be 'fend for yourself' so I always make sure to have lots of lean deli meat, cheese, etc. on hand, plus, we have frozen burritos, etc. that aren't bad if you just eat the guts. I'm telling you, too, those cheese sticks are perfect for heading off grazing... Same with SF popsicles. I'm off to work on the bathroom, now. Have a good day!

What do I eat? Here's kind of a list of things I sometimes eat (but not in a sitting of course) Breakfast - oatmeal with high protein milk, south beach diet cereal with the same milk, cheese toast, cheese sticks, fruit Lunch - tuna kits (20 g. protein), Ritz mini crackers and Kraft cheese snack kits (14 g. protein), sometimes a protein shake, cheese, tuna salad, chicken salad, campbell's select chicken noodle soup, Dinner - anything ranging from spaghetti with meatballs (a few bites of noodles and more of the meat), pot roast w/veggies, I live on caesar salads with chicken and whatever I cook my family I eat some sugar from time to time (doc allows it) and I don't have dumping problems. I love fresh fruit! It helps if I want something sweet.
