Sizes and Weight

I'm 5' 7" and 190 today. I'm wearing size 14 trousers which are getting to be a bit loose, but I'm actually scared to go try on some 12s.
I can put on size 14 jeans, and they're still a little tight, but not as bad as they were last week...
At least I can breath in them...
I'm still wearing size lg tops, but I could probably wear a medium. Like the 12s, I'm almost afraid to try.
I'm desparately in need of shoes. I've never been much of a shoe person. To be honest, I have 2 pairs of work shoes, a pair of black flats and a pair of brown flats, and they're getting pretty roomy. Probably time to go try on some shoes, too.

Beejay:
My big deal is jeans . . . with a zipper in the front. After last support group I stopped at Wal-Mart and tried some. Couldn't fit in any in the jrs. department. So I am still wearing Just My Size elastic waist jeans from the teen department - - size XL. But I feel it's my panni that is holding me back.
As for other sizes, I can wear L in t-shirts and sweatshirts. I am only 5'-2" and 57 years old, so that can be my problem.

Yeah I know what you mean....
I am at 168 lbs and 5'7" and a true apple shaped person....I wear size 10 levi's and size 8 dress pants. I am still in size L tops.
I am hoping to lose another 20-30 lbs and be able to get into a size 4-6 jeans and hopefully fit into a M top.
Keep up the work......Congratulations!
