CT Scan, Endoscopy and Dilation, Oh My!
Had my CT scan Friday and finally got a copy of the results.
Nothing but a small ovarian cyst (1.6 cm) which isn't my problem so that's
good. Had fun looking at the CD containing the copy of the scan.
Got to check out all my organs. Weirdest thing was realizing...that
the extraneous tissue clumps on the outside of the upper cross
sections of my body were my boobs. LOL! Didn't seem like there was
much to them braless and laying flat on my back with they sliding
off to the sides. Just lovely!
Interesting to see my anatomy. Could see the excess skin. Again, just lovely. Also could see that there are what look like on a quick look a binder clip in my body. Apparently for both my WLS and my gallbladder there are some metal clips inside my body. Saw them on the scan and read the report that said that metal clips were seen which were consistent with WLS and GB surgery. Interesting. Learn something new every day.
Thoughts are that I have an anastomatic ulcer. An ulcer at the
connection with my stoma (exit from the pouch). Pains starts right after eating and lasts
several hours. It is very, very ugly at this point. I'm now taking
Prevacid and Carafate. Saw the gastroenterologist today and I've
got a endoscopy with dilation scheduled for Tuesday. I'm checking
with them now since the instructions say no food after midnight and
my test isn't until 3 pm and I'm subject to hypoglycemia. Waiting
for a call back that I can eat something or a reschedule to a
morning.
That's my update...hurting right side and boobs that apparently go flat and to the sides when I lay down! Quite the picture I paint, eh?
Kathy
You're making my side hurt now!!!
Good luck on your tests. I have no clue what they do for any of that, do you?
I've been lazy in making appointments for my next batch of tests. It just takes up my whole life (3 trips to the city last week alone for doctor appointments) I wanted a week off!!!

Hi Kathy, Sorry the saga goes on. Perhaps with the endo and dialation some new relief will come your way and info to help the doc's evaluate what in the world is up. Sounds like the CD was a treat to explore and discover the innerworkings... seems you enjoyed studying it ( I would be facinated too). Glad it didn't show any serious problems. Hang in there and this will soon be over. I pray for you comfort and a gift of peace as you travel this ever so bumpy path. We are on your team and stand with ya all the way.
