Slow loser!!!!
I've lost 61 lbs since surgery and I'm about the same distance out as you and I do NOT consider myself a slow loser. I'm happy.
The important thing is that you are losing.
Sometimes if you want to jumpstart things a bit more...you can increase protein, vary the number of calories you eat a day - some days eat more - some days less - shake it up a bit, vary your exercise. The body gets in "ruts" and "routines".

Hi Rosie, I am a bit of a snail myself in losing. I am staying at 60 lbs and seems to be continuing a plateau for another week. I get frustrated sometimes and wish things would move more quickly but then I remember how much better my health is now and I can't help but be filled with gratitude. I am delighed for those who lose way more but get a little sad when I'm tempted to compare myself. Which is pretty human but can bring me down so I really try not to compare. Best wishes to ya and you will get there...as we keep plugging away.

Ya know Mary I feel the same way as you do.I too am happy for the other losers. But i get down on myself when i compare myself to them. ITS NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!! Buut we are all different. I just get scared that this weight loss will be it for me. There are times that I feel so good about myself and actually feel sexy and then there are ALOT of times when I feel FAT again. It doesnt make sense to me. Oh well better to lose then to gain, right? Thanks for your support and you keep up the good work too!
Rosie
Hey Rosie, I am a slow loser too. Truthfully, I don't care how slow I lose as long as I am losing. This is the first time the scales have gone down for me in 20 years! I have a long way to go and I get scared sometimes and discouraged sometimes but mostly I am just grateful it is finally coming off. I have come to the conclusion, if I stop losing weight tomorrow, I will be forever grateful that my diabetes is cured. The rest is icing. My health is the number one reason I had the surgery and I try to stay focused on that.
I am in the same prediciment as you. I had surgery 7 months ago and have managed to drop off 89 pounds since then. I have been on this plateau of going up or down a pound, remaining right at the 89 pound loss mark for the last month now, and seem to be really bothered by it. But I keep telling myself that I feel much better now without those extra pounds hanging on and that I just need to keep on trak with what I'm doing, giving it time and the pounds will continue to drop off. Just hang in there and you'll manage okay.
