Slow loser!!!!
Anyone else a slow loser here Mayers? Pleeze do tell!!!!!
And how do you feel? And what are you doing to change it?
I am a slow loser and no matter how much water and protien i drink I'm still losing slow. I do workout at least 3x a week and 30min a day. But still the same. I have lost 60lbs so far and im 6 months out in a few days.

I was just thinking after reading your post and I said "I'd rather be a slow loser than no loser"!!! I think you are doing great. Remember, different people lose or gain in different ways. We are all made up different so although you may be doing all you are suppose to do and losing slow (according to you), others that are not doing what they are suppose to do may be losing fast. Keep up the good work Rosie!!
Rosie,
First - You are a Slow Winner....
Everyone is different. Looking at your profile you are doing great.
Second - Look at your Journey stats ... Starting at 329 you have lost almost 20% of your body weight!!!! 1/5th of you is GONE!!!
Third - I don't know how tall you are, but your goal weight of 150 is ambitious. I've given myself a tough goal also, so I'm not being critical, just looking at WLS stats, 70% of excess body weight is the "quotable" success goal. Based on your goal of 179lbs to loose, you are already 34% of the way there....
Part of my pep talk to myself includes "Hey you dumba$$, it took you 20 years to put on all these pounds. Give yourself 2 years to take them off". (I talk to myself alot)!!!
Keep up the good work. Try to stay focused on Rosie.

6 months?... Lord, I hope not... I've got another 100lbs of ugly fat to go.... If I have to do that between now and Thanksgiving I will have to chop off both legs. I think that you "slow down" considerably after a while, but I hope to use this "wonderful tool" for the rest of my life.... I can no longer scarf a "whole" pizza at a sitting.... I can no longer down a box of cookies or a bag of candy without thinking... If I eat fast, or over 4 ounces at a time, I get sick/uncomfortable. That's a GREAT thing....
My goal is to be 125 pounds by my 46th birthday (17 months away). My Surgeon thinks that 180 is acceptable, but not me.... I need to average 6 lbs per month to reach my goal. The last 3 months, I've averaged 10lbs/month.
Will I get to 150 and say "damn, I'm looking like crap"? I don't know. I haven't been 150 since I was 14 years old. But, oh, isn't nice to have those kind of problems to contemplate? I was racing to a head-on colission with major health issues, now I'm on a meandering stroll to a new me....
Attitude is 90% of the journey... Keep up your spirits.
