Present to myself

Hi everyone I got myself a tattoo yesterday. When I was sitting there waiting to get it I to;d the guy that this year is all about me. I am treating myself. I got some light blue and pink flowers with a butterfly landing on them. It is on the back of my left shoulder. I thought it was going to be painful but I hardly felt a thing. I am thinking of getting a second one already. My daughter laughs at me and thinks I am having a mid life crisis. Debbie

Congrats, Debbie! I've found that the butterfly has a new significance for me as well. I bought myself a gorgeous butterfly ring right before my surgery. I bought it two sizes too small and told myself that the day it fit was the day I'd know I was truly transforming. I've been wearing it happily for the past month. I love it!

Hey, how fun! A question for you. How long do you have to keep it dry (how long before you could swim, etc.)? I'm thinking of having one done also, a triskelion (a Celtic symbol refering to birth, death, and re-birth). Eileen
