Day 2 just about in the books here at 9:30 PM. So far, sugar free. Man, this is hard! There is loads of sugar in this house to be had. But tomorrow I go back to work...that should help a little bit.

Tom, You're doing great! It's much harder when there's lots of sugar in the house -- Halloween doesn't help much either! I'm so glad you've had a successful day! Keep up the good work! ~Wanda

Tom, with you it is sugar with me it is chips. I walk down the chip isle in the store and I swear by the time I get to the end there is a trail of drool. Soy chips just don't cut it. I try to stay away from them but it is so hard. So glad you made it through day 2. Day 3 will offer some serious challenges but know that we are all behind you and you can do this. Hugs, Kat

Great job, Tom! I was watching for your post all night last night! I'm glad you made it through another day. I know you can do it again for Day 3!

Hi Tom! Here is a little tip. While we all may have candy in our homes for the trick or treaters, in my house we have alot of sugar free candy also, which I might add is very delicious. We keep it here for my little boy who has Type 1 Diabetes. That way, when you are tempted for Chocolate, just grab a sugar free Hersey choc. bar, they are deeeelicious!! Very Proud of your willpower though!!

Oh, I used to love the SF York Peppermint Patties pre-op since I too was a diabetic. Unfortunately since surgery, sugar alcohols seem to cause some dumping so I skip them. I hope at some point I can introduce them in small amounts but now even one will set things off. Rich and I are going to do some SF baking and candy made with splenda for the holidays since I do tolerate that. It'll be nice to be able to have a "treat" on Christmas eve and Christmas day when others are without any *issues*. Kathy
