How much have you lost?
Irene,
I started at 300lbs too. I just got over a 4 week plateau. What a way to get over it - a 6lb loss in one week! I have lost a total of 89lbs to date. I think plateaus are just our bodies way of catching up with the rapid weight loss. Everything happens so fast - it just needs a little time to acclimate. Try not to think about it too much.

I started at 251 and depending on the day, I'm about 181.5 to 182. So that's a loss of 69 to 69.5 lbs. I'm dying to hit the 70 lbs mark, but it's eluding me so far! i've been boucing up and down between 181.5 and 183 for a week now. I'm just sticking to the plan and waiting for things to get back to normal and drop again.
take care,
Ashleigh
PS. Keep up the great work, MAYSTERS!!! WE ROCK!
I had my surgery on May 17th, and I have lost 80 lbs. I went from 292 to 212. I too struggled with a pretty good plateau that lasted for a few weeks, but it has started to come off again. I think that starting a regular exercise routine really is helpful. Have a great day, and keep the faith!

Hello all!
My surgery was on May 23. I've lost 85 pounds and gone from a size 30 to a size 16 in 5 months. I've had periods where I wasn't losing anything for 2 weeks at a time. It can be very frustrating. I decided not to weigh myself everyday. I have 15 pounds to go to reach 100 pounds gone! I'm hoping to reach that by the end of November.
Everyone is doing so well - my congrats to all of you. I also want to thank all of you for being there. Reading these posts is a great inspiration.
Hugs,
Jean
Revision on 10/29/12
I have lost 76 lbs from 249 to 173. This past month only lost 9 lbs but has been roughly 8-15 lbs a month... i think that is pretty standard at this time out for someone who needs to lost about 120 lbs. Great job everybody!!!
I've managed to drop off at least 89 pounds since surgery 7 months ago. I am in the same boat you are. I haven't managed to drop any more for aproximately the same amount of time. But, I believe though, sometimes our body goes through stages like this to play catch up a lot of times. Of course, each of us are all in different stages of this. But, don't feel so bad. Just continue to keep up the good work and it will continue to pay off for you. Be thankful you have managed to come this far. Hope this helps out somewhat.
