Well as I posted last night my daughter ruptured her eardrum. I drove to Jacksonville today to see the ENT. He did not have really great news but there is hope. He said that right now we are looking at about a 60 percent hearing loss. It could improve if the perferation heals well. Because this is the 2nd time this has happened, the outcome is not going to be a full recovery. The good news is that she will be able to hear some and the possibility of it just being a minor hearing loss. We go back in 2 weeks to get things cleaned out and to do another hearing test. They couldn't clean it out today because of the infection and the pain she is in. I have actually held up well today. I have not gotten sick at all which is very unusual. I have eaten 3 times today and working on the 4th as we speak. Not alot of food but more then normal. Maybe Oscar the grouch pouch is going to give me a break today due to the stress of yesterday. I refused to get stressed today becuase it is not good for me at all. Well that is about it, Thanks for listening. Kat

Love and blessings go out to you and your daughter. Hang in there. Remember, eating does not really relieve stress, we just convince ourselves that it will so we feel like we have more control over it. Be strong, your doing so well!! Diane

Kat, Bless your heart! I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter is going to have some loss of hearing, but perhaps she will recover completely beyond the expectations of the doctor. I will keep both of you in my prayers. Good for you for eating today, even though you're under unbelievable stress. Hang in there and know that we're here for ya! Big hug, Wanda
