PCP Checkup
Hi all!
I saw my Primary Care Physician today. He was very pleased with my progress. He said the weight loss will slow down considerably and to keep a watch that it doesn't start creeping back up. I'm diabetic and am off all my medications. My hemoglobin A1C is now 5.5 which is VERY good! It should be below 7. My fasting glucose was 108. Normal is below 120. He said to keep it up and he'll see me in 4 months.
He was very surprised to hear that Dr. Smoot is retiring. My PCP is the one that referred me to Dr. Smoot.
As far as my liver issues (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and cirrhosis), there's no cure, but treatment is weight loss and exercise which I am doing.
All said, it was a good visit. Today is a good day. God is watching out for me.

What an awesome check up! And how about being excited to going to the doctor instead of dreading it?
I never thought I would be thrilled to go see the doctor. Even though we know that we are doing excellent it is just reinforced when a health care provider agrees with us!
Keep up the Great Work
