I was sitting here and finally decided to finish my list of goals that I started when I was preop. I was wondering if any of you would like to share some of your goals. Here's what I have so far (half of them have already been accomplished): Be able to cross my legs (like a lady, not like a man...lol) Be able to feel like I'm not the fattest girl in the room (this one is perhaps the toughest one). Be able to feel my collarbones. Be able to get in and out of my car without feeling like I'm going to need to call for a crane. Be able to go swimming without feeling like a whale out of water. (Not perfect, but done!) Be able to paint my toenails without my chest collapsing. Be able to play in the floor with my kids without calling for the fire department to come get me up. Be able to say "I'm starving!" and not wonder what derogatory things others are thinking. Be able to see my collarbones. Be able to shop in a regular store without having to hunt for the plus size mumu's section. Be able to sit on a chair and not be scared that I'm going to break it. Be able to tie my shoes without suffocating. Be able to walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath. Be able to wear my mom's clothes. Be in a size 10 jeans. Be in a size 12 jeans. Be in a size 14 jeans. Be in a size 16 jeans. Be in a size 18 jeans and out of those nasty 20+ sizes. Be off of my diabetes medication. Be off of my GERD medication. Be off of my high blood pressure medications. Feel proud of how I look instead of ashamed, embarrassed and self conscious. Having a recent photo that I like to give to family members. Hit 150 (which is my goal for now. However, I might settle for the 103lbs lost as my goal.) Hit 151 (116lbs will be gone which is 100% of my excess weight) Hit 164 (BMI would be 24.9 which would put be being healthly and a 90% loss of excess weight) Hit 167 (100lbs will be gone. I hope to hit this by my six month in December) Hit 174 (93lbs will be gone which is 80% of my excess weight) Hit 186 (81lbs will be gone which is 70% of my excess weight) Hit 197 (BMI would be 29.9 which would put me being just slightly overweight) Hit 208.5 (that would be the halfway mark if I'm going to 150) Hit 230 (BMI would be 34.9 which would put me being just obese) Hit 263 (BMI would be 39.9 which would put me being severely obese instead of morbidly obese) Hit the onderfuls! Joining in social interactions rather than avoiding them due to embarrassment over my weight. Lose 30 pounds. Lose 40 pounds. Lose the stomach rolls. Not hating having pictures made. Not having to inwardly cringe every time someone talks about how fat somebody is Not hiding as much of myself behind someone as possible when pictures are taken. Sitting down in an audience and not feeling like I'm totally crowding out the people sitting beside me. Sitting in a restaurant booth without my tummy rubbing the table. Wearing t-shirts I haven't worn in years. Weigh less than my brother. Weigh less than my dad. Weigh less than my mom.
