It's the little things............
Hi everyone,
Hopefully you are having a great week!!
Do you remember or know how the little things either make your day or can ruin it in a heartbeat??????? Someone could do/say something to you and there it is.
Well here is my little things....
Me and hubby went out to dinner on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary at a nice resturaunt, just me and him. We walk in and the lady standing there looks at me and says "Smoking or non smoking"? I say smoking. Get this, she then says, "Ok, follow me." And proceeds to sit us at a booth and says enjoy your meal.
Are you following me here???? If not let me help ya out!!!
On May 23rd I weighed 400 pounds the day of my surgery. When I go out to eat the person always looks directly at ME and says, would you like a table?????
I was sitting in a booth, which by the way there was atleast 10 inches between me and the table!!!!!!!!, to where I could see her while I was eating and I just kept saying to myself.... Lady you DO NOT know how you just affected my life just now. (in a good way) I was just reflecting on the fact that maybe I might be on my way to feeling a little "normal size". I mean, I'm still big, 293 and I still need to lose 112 pounds, but just maybe I did feel normal even if just for a few minutes.
I just wanted to hug the hell out of her and thank her for making my "date" with my husband a memorable one. And I guess what I want to do is publically THANK THIS WOMAN, even if it is just in our little "FAMILY" here.
Just remember, it's the little things that I've grown to love.
Love to All~~~

I know exactly what you mean. Doesn't it just feel great. My little moment was having room between me and the steering wheel of my husband's old truck. He has a old truck and the wheel literally would be in my lap. Now, my thighs have shrunk and I can really tell a difference. I now have a lot of room and can turn the wheel without hitting my thighs. Wow, what a feeling. Congratulations on the little things, they really mean alot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice booth seat.

Hey Carmella, Congrats on your booth experience. My surgery was the day after yours. I remember being seated in a booth pre-op and my belly would push up against the table. It used to embarrass me terribly. I am sure whoever I was with noticed it too but tried to be polite and look away. Now it is so much more roomy and we can enjoy our meal without the discomfort and the shame of being morbidly obese.( and feeling so obvious )
Glad you had such a cool WOW moment. Happy Anniversary too!
