Happy Sunday!
How is everyone doing today?
I'm sore and recouping from GB surgery on Friday. Ventured out a bit yesterday but today I cancelled plans due to a bad headache and constipation. Oh joy! Think things have...er...moved a bit so the constipation may be easing. We'll see.
The headaches keeps lingering. Took some liquid tylenol. Headaches eases then resurfaces...up and down, up and down. Argh!
As of this morning, still sporting 5 lbs of post-op fluids...or could it be the plumbing backup? Probably some of each. Working hard on getting fluids in - been a bit sluggish on that. With a headache and such I'm not particularly hungry either.
For some unknown reason I was having neck pain last night. Doesn't bother me sitting up and being up and moving around but lay down and roll on that side...I was almost in tears. I suspect that my neck got twisted or my arm raised in such a way during surgery that my neck/shoulder got irritated.
In OT news...my dad sold his house. Got an offer this morning. So it sold in under a week. He'll close on that a week after he closes on the house he is buying. He is downsizing finally (mom passed away a year ago). He found a great place and an area where he can even drive a golf cart to the market. Go dad!
Take care, folks!
Kathy
Hey Kathy - sorry you're having so many aches and pains... Hopefully, you'll start turning the corner soon. Glad your dad sold his house - one week! Holy crow!
I did a JA Bowl-a-Thon yesterday. I bowled in leagues starting when I was 7 or so up until about 6 years ago. Granted, this was just for fun, I didn't even dig up my own bowling ball, just used an alley ball and I bowled a.................52 and a 74. I used to have a 165 average! It was pathetic. To top it off, I apparently used muscles I haven't used in a while because my whole left backside all the way down to my knee feels like a slab of wood... Ouch!
Went shopping yesterday and today - picked up some clothes for me and a winter coat and boots for Livvie. It was really weird shopping in the misses section - I actually felt a little queasy - spent a lot of time wandering around aimlessly, but wound up with a few pairs of pants for work (14s), my first pair of Levis in about 10 years (16s) and a couple of shirts. The only thing I hate is all the shirts in style right now are just barely below the midriff, kind of RIGHT AT the belt line - I'm still more comfortable in shirts that hang a little lower.
Right now, I've spent the last 1+ hour attempting to study for a CJ test tomorrow but haven't gotten very far, I keep getting sidetracked... Guess I'll be cramming tomorrow!
Have a good evening!
Becky
Hey kathy,
Hope your feeling better soon. I am at work doing some OT, I have a lobby full of people, the game is on, we're having a good time. Just ordered soup and salad from Panera bread (yummy), so waiting on that come. Slept all day today, it was great. Me and my son went bike riding (awesome), and overall Im having a pretty nice day. I actually had some London Broil that my mom made, it was delicious, but it didn't sit well. Thank heavens it didnt come back up, but I think I will still be staying away from heavy beef. Becky, I should be studying too but...I guess I'll be pulling an all nighter.
Sorry about the head and bottom hurting! Hope everything clears up. Glad your house sold so quickly!!! My bf in Washington had her house sold in 15 minutes after it was on the market...the couple fell in love and immedietely bought it. I'm glad he found a nice place. Oh, here's a question: forever I see the "OT" and have never known what that meant. I'm a sports gal so to me I always see "over time" lol. Please fill me in.
Today was a beautiful day in Texas. Family and I strolled the beach, went to see Wallace & Grommitt (kid flick), went grocery shopping, cooked a nice dinner and I headed off for a shopping spree. Got some great deals.
