Can anyone eat THIS much?
Revision on 10/29/12
Hi fellow May babies..... I hope all of you are doing well. Since day one I have felt that I could eat too much. I have a strong appetite now and feel hungry (not ravenous as I did pre op) often. Let me give you what I ate today I would really like to know how I compare to others. And yes I ate somethings that other probably won't agree with I am aware of that.
B 7:30am- 12 oz H2O with 1.5 scoops vanilla very berry protein powder. (~170 cal)
S 10:45 am- 8 quaker mini popcorn cakes (the serving size) (60 cal)
L 12 pm- 70% of 10 oz lean cuisine meal (~200 cal)
S 2:30pm- string cheese (60 cal)
S 3:30 pm- 1 oz peanuts(170 cal)
S 5:30pm later 1 oz. baked doritos(120 cal)
D 7:00 pm- 3oz tuna on 6 club crackers, 1 Tbsp light mayo (~255 cal)
S 8:30 pm- 2 slices of deli ham (70 cal)
that is a total of 1100 calories for the day... how many calories are other getting? WHY THE HELL AM I SO HUNGRY????

Just wanted to add I have lost 70 lbs. as of today started at 249 am 179 today. I asked this question at my support group and they said if you are hungry eat because maybe I require more fuel? I have had only 1 stall all this time that was greater than 1 week around 4 weeks out and recently have been loosing 1-3 lbs a week.
That doesn't sound like an unreasonable amount to me. It's probably a *little* more than I eat, but I don't tend to eat snacks very often - 1) My pre-WLS snacks (aka, an entire bag of chex mix, a sleeve of cookies) is what got me to where I am and 2) I'm not generally hungry for one (although sometimes I feel ravenous!) 1100 calories is pretty good, I think, and it looks like your weight loss is going very well. I wouldn't worry about it: if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Here's what I had today...
B: (8:00am)3/4 of an egg, a slice of cheese and a piece of bacon on a 1/4 piece of burnt toast
L: (11:30am)about a cup to a cup and a half of popcorn
S: (1:30pm)1 mini reese sf pb cup
S: (3:00pm) Venti SF Hazelnut Iced Latte (I was celebrating my good news and it's a great source of protein!)
S: (5:00pm) 1.5 cheese stick
D: (7:00pm) about 3/4 of a Dinty Moore Beef Stew single serving thingy
S: (8:30) 16oz of milk
That gave me about 900 calories, 47 g of fat, 70 carbs and 52 g of protein for the day. Typically, my protein would be higher - I would eat something better for lunch, but I was nervous today and popcorn was the only thing I thought I could keep down...
Usually I buy the unsalted/unbuttered Black Jewel micro popcorn but today I just grabbed a bag from the cafeteria - oil popped but not the 'butter oil' stuff.
Kathy's right - it can be somewhat nasty. I ate too much last weekend (caught myself snarfing down most of a bag) and I was miserable all afternoon - bloated, yucky feeling, but in moderation, it's become one of my favorite snacks. The weird thing is, I never even used to LIKE popcorn...
How much water are you getting in??? Perhaps you could replace a snack with a drink.. other then that it really sounds like you're in the right ball park. I only wish I could eat that much. LOL
Here's my food today (and it was a poor day)
B 1/4 cup of low carb cereal and fat free milk
L 1/2 of a 2 egg ham and cheese omlette
S NSA Swiss Miss with protein powder
D steak & Potato soup, picking around most of the potato
Water - about 30 oz
Told you it was a poor day. I got so busy today that I totally forgot to eat and drink!!!!!! I have replaced my eatting when nervous habbit with a keep very busy habbit. I've GOT to get it together more. I've been at 172 for 13 days in a row now, and I know it's cuz I'm not getting in enough cals every day.
Most people say they're told to get in 950 - 1200 cals a day.
Sounds like you're doing great!!!!

You know that is what the nutritionist said. I have no idea if it's correct???????? But I guess it makes sense since I am losing weight at a pretty steady rate. Thank yu everybody for your feed back. Oh on top of the 12 oz of water in my daily protein drink I average 32 oz water after that sometimes more rarely less.
