Hair Loss - HELP !!!

I had my gastric bypass on May 24 and have lost 62 pounds so far. I'm thrilled with the loss...but my hair started falling out nearly a month ago and it seems to be getting worse !!! I have VERY thin hair to begin with and it's starting to scare me !! I started taking vitamins for hair, skin and nails....and I ordered Nioxin shampoo, but haven't gotten it yet. Has anyone else found ANYTHING that has helped??? I've been told it "ONLY" lasts a few months...but at this rate, in a few months I'll be bald !!! I looked into Rogaine for women...it says that by using it twice a day hair regrowth can restart in 8 MONTHS !!!!! ARGGG !!! Jean Lap RNY 5/24/05 255/193/150

Hi Jean! You have started losing hair just about the same time as the rest of us. I have heard different opinions on what you can do to help increase your hair growth, but basically, I think you (I) are just going to have to let nature take its course and be patient. Hey, if it comes down to it, buy a wig!!

YOU GUYS ARE SO RIGHT. I STARTED LOSING MY HAIR AROUND THE SAME TIME YOU GUYS WELL MAYBE A LITTLE EARLIER AND THE 3-4MTH WAS REALLY BAD IT WAS THINNING BAD. I USED NIOXIN SHAPOO AND BIOTIN NOTHING WORKS I GUESS IT WILL HAPPEN WITH ANYTHING YOU DO. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS STARTING TO EASE UP JUST A LITTLE BUT IN THE BEGINNING I WAS SCARED TO COMB MY HAIR SO MUCH OF IT WAS COMING OUT. TAKE CARE..
