Does Hernia stall Weight Loss????????????

I've heard it said that having a hernia will stall your weight loss. Does anyone know anything on this subject???????????? I'm courious (of course) cuz I have a growing hernia. The "bulg" is now a little bigger then my fist and because it's at the top of my incision, I kind of look like I'm growing a third breast. LOL Anyway, I'm going to the surgeon today about it and just wonder what you guys think??!! Laurie
