Snacking????

I don't have the snacking problem because I have to force myself just to remember to eat. But when the occasional snack craving hits, I keep things that I can eat on hand that will fill the bill. Pudding, SF ice-cream bars, SF candy for the sweet. Soy chips, peanuts, pop corn for the salty. In my glove box of my car, I keep slim jims or beef jerky, Peanuts, and some of the cheddar pop corn for the days when I can't stop long enough to eat. Oscar(The grouch pouch) tends to get car sick if I try to eat then drive any distance. With 3 special needs kids and all their docs 80 to 300 miles away I do alot of traveling. So keeping snacks in the car is a god send. (it helps with the kids too). Good luck and if you are going to snack, make it a healthy one. Kat

1. Try mixing up a protein shake and drinking it in the morning. I do and that really fills me up until lunch. 2. Keep healthier snacks around when you do snack. I personally have some low fat peanut butter that I will eat a teaspoon of if I feel hungry and need something in the afternoons. My co-workers have laughed at the sight of me licking peanut butter off of a spoon like it's a lollipop! It also helps with my sweet tooth when Aunt Flo comes to visit each month. 3. Watch those carbs early inthe day! If I eat too many carbs too early, I am more prone to grazing the rest of the day. 4. Eat really dense foods that will stick with you at mealtime and remember not to drink soon afterwards so you keep the full sensation longer. I hope that this helps. Hang in there!
