I, of course, don't know the results yet. Argh. The tech infiltrated my IV so I have a huge walnut size bump on the back of my right hand that hurts. So what does she do? She stabs me again. Then asks if it "burns" - I told her that it did "a little" and then she says "LARRRRRRY Oh LARRRRRY, Oh LARINATOR, can you help". Then she tells me "Larry is much better at this then I am." The test was fine. Just had to lay there for over 1.5 hours. The CCK stuff that is supposed to cause contractions in your gallbladder didn't hurt me. No abdominal pain for me (though I already had some and that was why I was there in the first place). Larrrrry told me "Some folks don't feel it...others scream." Nice, eh? So hopefully I'll have an answer to my side pain. I just know in my heart that it is indeed the pesky gallbladder and I've now decided that I want it gone, goodbye, ciao! And soon. The pain has started to escalade. I called my surgeon's office to let them know that I had the test today and they said that they'll let me know when they get the results. She said "Usually bad news travels fast so if they see a bad result...they call." Well, I go no call today so who knows. All I can tell you is that I want this demonspawnofagallbladder gone!!! Thank you for listenin'... Kathy

Kathy, Certainly sounds like good bedside manner was not a criteria for the LARINATOR or the tech who originally assisted you. Don't you hate it when they say Larry is better at this than me? Then why in the heck didn't Larry do this in the first place??? I'm so sorry you're having the gall bladder problems. I hope they decide to go ahead and take it soon so you're out of your pain. Hang in there gal! ~Wanda

Kathy, I've had 8 surgeries in the last 4 years. I'm sick to death of it! But, I have to say, they were all for the best. I'm hoping this one is for you too! Lori 384/294/170

Geez, Lori! Cut that out, will ya? No more surgeries, for you! This will be my 3rd surgery this year! Luckily my only other surgeries before this were cataract surgeries...one when I was 33 and one when I was 35. Yes, I was young for cataracts - my mother gave them to both daughters. My sister had them fixed at age 35 too - her first (she is older). Thanks! Kathy

Kathy, I'm trying to stay off the surgeon's table! That's why I got the WLS. I am hoping that I may only get some plastic surgery for skin removal when all this is done. I know that is a big surgery. A woman I work with who has lost 200 lbs since her WLS, just had an 8 hour skin removal surgery! Lori 394/293/170

I can close my eyes and actually see that take place... Good Girl for biting your tongue and staying polite... I hope they call you tomorrow, even though it would probably mean bad news - at least you can get it taken care of sooner. Hugs, Becky

Bad news in this case is good news because it offers a diagnosis and a fairly straight-forward treatment. I'm resolved at this point that my GB is doing to be medical waste in the near future. I do hope I get that call. If not...I'm calling tomorrow afternoon. Of course tonight, I have dueling side pain...gas on the left and GB on the right. Not sure which side is winning out. Right now they are annoying me neck and neck. Thanks! Hugs, Kathy

Kathy - I too hope that you get your diagnosis very soon!!!! You sure have been through a lot with this problem! I was REALLY hoping that mine looked bad enough to take during my wls FOR THIS VERY REASON!!! Who wants to look at surgery four months after having major surgery?? Course, for me it's not the gallbladder giving me grief - it's this darn hernia!!!! You make sure you tell them that you've had enough and want it OUT!!!! Laurie

Hi Kathy, I also had that scan and they didn't see stones but due to continuing symptoms it was decided to take it out, ( I did PUSH to get it out too). The pathology report said it was completely covered inside with little polyps ( tiny benign tumors). somehow they didn't see them on the scan. After it was out the pain said bye bye. And I felt 100% better! Wonder if I hadn't made such a fuss if they would have taken it out. Be the squeeky wheel, if ya need to be. Wishing a speedy resolution for you... and in the mean time praying for the pain to ease and for your comfort physically and peace to surround you emotionally. One thing after another does seem to disrupt our serenity, doesn't it? God bless you, there are alot of us May babies caring and supporting you in this difficulty. Hugs, Mary
