Plateau Help.....
I had surgery on 5/2/05, my weight that morning was 261lbs, today I am 180 & have been now for almost 4 weeks, my sclaes will not move. Do you think I have lost all I am gonna loose? I will be 5 months post op tomorrow & have lost 81lbs, but I still hae 50 more to go.
Can some of you tell me what you are eating on a typical day? Maybe I am not eating enough. I get in 62 grams of protein a day & about 500 to 600 calories a day, carbs maybe 20 to 25 a day. I walk 3 miles a day 5 days a week & got to curves 2 days a week. I need help..

Wow Tammy, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. I know my weight loss has slowed down significantly, but I'm still losing a pound or 2 per week. I have more than you left to lose, about 80 more pounds, but I'm still seeing the decline. With your exercise and getting in a good bit of protein, I'm guessing that you're just experiencing a plateau where you body is readjusting.
Good luck -- you've done terrific!

Wow, Tammy, we had surgery on the same day and started out within 2 pounds of each other, but you've lost 11 pounds more than I have! I have had some serious scale issues since the beginning of August. I've lost only 7 lbs. since August 1st. Check out the plateau buster's diet-look for the post I made a few days ago and read to the end. Good luck!

You're not finished losing... I stall for three or four weeks every-other-month. I'm just getting off a four week stall and I think I only lost a pound or two this week, if that much! I'll lose for a couple more weeks, then stall for a month. I guess it's normal and by 18 months out, we'll all be where we want to be. Keep up the good work.
