Sometimes I still have to learn a hard lesson

I tried, foolishly, to make a bacon and eggs breakfast this morning. Not Canadian bacon or turkey bacon...regular old bacon. I am an idiot! I then cooked the egg in the bacon grease in the pan. I'm making breakfast like a regular pre-op compulsive overeater. Let's just say I learned the lesson again....high fat = foamies.

I've had bacon crispy with no issues but I haven't tried to cook in the grease at all. Fats don't seem to bother my pouch. They just bother my gallbladder. Oh boy! Sorry you had to learn another lesson, Tom. Seems there are so many out there to learn, eh? Kathy

Just remember this is a good thing! If our pouch let us go back to old habits then we would go back to being old us and well that is just not an option is it? cary

I just love bacon. But Cary you are so right! I hadn't thought of it that way. I shall return to the safe confines of turkey or Canadian bacon, which give me no problem at all, have low fat, and taste quite yummy!

Sorry you had to learn this lesson the hard way. It always amazes me the difference in peoples pouches. Grease does not bother me neither do sugars. What does is smells. Oh wel. Kat

Greasy, fried foods don't bother my pouch but man, oh man I can't do bacon. Foam attack for me too. What's with that foam crap anyways! Doesn't happen often but I hate that!
