Let me vent please!
Please please don't take this the wrong way.
My surgeon highly recommended seeking psychological help for a while after surgery, because we might experience feelings of loss and depression. Some people use food as their best friend, and no longer have that comfort. People also hide other issues behind their fat, and when that fat starts to disappear, there's no place to hide.
This website is always a big help too!
Hi Andrea,
I apologize for responding to this a little late but hope you are doing better now. I too am a self sabatoger. In August my husband left for Iraq, my sister moved 900 miles away then my mother decided she had to move with her and to top it off my youngest daughter decided to move away to finish her college degree (which I totally support and understand ) BUT in a way I felt totally abandoned. It was devasting to me so I ate things I shouldn't have but I decided I needed to get back on track. It has been hard but I am doing better. I don't know why we sometimes feel like we don't deserve good things for ourselves in life. I guess part of the process is learning to love ourselves as much as God loves us. I'm still not 100% but then I'm not perfect either. To top it off I'm a slow loser so that is very frustrating! Love yourself and remember - Your a daughter of God and he loves you and is always there for you. He just needs you to love yourself a little more and know you are deserving of those things you desire in your heart.
