Has anyone noticed that your weight loss has slowed. I was averaging 10-15lbs a month and in the last 3.5 weeks I have only lost 5 lbs! It scares me to death to think it has already slowed down because I wanna lose 90 more lbs. I put myself on a liquid diet today and hopefully tomorrow to see if things kick back into motion. Any ideas? Has your's slowed down?

Hey Melissa, Yes, I have slowed down as well, but from what I hear that is to be expected. I have lost 73 pounds total, and would like to lose 40 more. I have a total loss of 9 pounds in the past 6 weeks....Not complaining, it works for me, and hopefully I can step it up with exercise

yeah..mine has slowed down....I guess the first 70some were easy(for me anyway)..I gotta work for the last 40...just trying to do better with my food choices and exercize...and I guess I'll get there when I get there...I'm not complaining...if I never lost another pound I'm still thrilled with my decision and would do it again 100 times!!

Same here! My weight loss has all but stopped! But I am still losing inches. I can tell when I put on certain clothes. I have been exercising regularly for the past month and I can tell in my energy level and jeans. Exercise has also helped me sleep better. Maybe I can finally become addicted to something good for me! I am thinking about setting some goals for running. I figure the weight will start coming off again soon! At least I must believe that it will!

Hi Melissa. YES my weight loss has slowed down a lot. I think I've lost maybe 4 pounds in the last four weeks. I think it's going to be very slow for me from here on out...I'm 27 pounds from goal. The one good thing, if I stall like this for another month I won't have to keep buying new clothes right?? lol I'm not going to complain too much. I'm still trying to get used to looking in the mirror and seeing the new me. I have to do a double take sometimes because I'm never quite sure if that's me looking at me.

Hello- Mine has taken a big slow down. I am getting between 7 to 15 lbs a month. Usually at least 10 a month. Which I am happy w/. I couldn't do this on my own, Thank You Lord! I have 49 more lbs to lose. I think our body needs to catch up, thats why we slowed down on losing. I wish you the best. ~April~ Lap Rny May 13, 2005 21 yrs old, 5'1 231 / 169 / 120

Melissa, When mine slowed down, I started exercising 1 hour a day and it is back up to 4 lbs a week! Lori 384/294/170

Same story here! Although my weight loss this time around has been a little unusual for me because I've hit plateau's since day one! I hover around a certain weight for a couple of weeks & then I drop about 6 pounds overnight....it's just weird. I've been at my current weight for about 3 weeks & it's a little discouraging, but I guess all we can do is persevere. The liquid diet thing sounds like a winner. Did you try the Plateau Buster's Diet that was posted awhile back? I still have it (haven't tried it though) & will re-post it if anyone is interested. Laughs & Hugs, NancyT

My weight loss has slowed down considerably. I lost about 25 pounds the first month (not counting the 15 I lost pre-op, I'm talking after the surgery) and have averaged 3 pounds/week since then. My weight loss kind of goes in cycles, though. I won't lose anything for a week or two, then I'll notice my clothes fitting looser (but still no loss for about a week) and then all of a sudden I'll lose like 5 pounds. Then nothing for a week or two, etc. It seems like I lose the 5 pounds every 2-1/2 weeks, so about 10 pounds/month, but it's not a consistant loss in that it's so much every week, am I making sense?! It's about 15 pounds every six weeks when I go see my trainer. Michelle
